Arecor is steadily building its patent portfolio, which covers the
Company’s core enabling technologies for the stabilisation of
biologics and applications in the formulation of specific products.
These patent families, together with the Company’s proprietary
know-how, provide Arecor and its clients with a wide range of
technical options, which can be used separately or in combination
to create differentiated solutions for individual bioliogics.
Overall the patent portfolio covers three different segments of our
technology platform: Arestat-T™ (protection against thermally induced
degradation), Arestat-C™ (protection against concentration induced
degradation) and Arestat-R™ (protection during exposure to ionising
radiation) technologies. A list of published applications is shown in
the table below.
Arecor works in close coordination with its European and US patent
advisors to ensure that Arecor’s core technologies are protected by
robust and defensible patent claims. This approach is of benefit to
clients of Arecor seeking an enhanced IP position in conjunction with
improved formulations of their products.
Our IP strategy also recognises the role of IP in maintaining
competitive advantage and thereby improve the sustainability of
Arecor’s business, Combined with an awareness of critical market
needs, this drives an ongoing investment in our technology platform
to create relevant and cost-effective solutions for formulation of
biologics.
