History of Arecor
Arecor Limited was established in July 2007 to exploit the extensive experience of Unilever Research and the founders in the manipulation of proteins for medical applications.
Arecor is based at Colworth Park near Bedford in the United Kingdom and employs staff with expertise in protein formulation, manufacture and regulatory approval. It has extensive analytical capabilities and access to the facilities of Unilever Research and Cambridge University.
The first commercial application of Arecor's stabilisation technology was Insense's Oxyzyme™ wound care dressing.
